FORREST C. LATTNER, founder

Forrest Comer Lattner was an investment banker, oil executive and philanthropist. Mr. Lattner became the largest shareholder of the Central Louisiana Electric Company and chairman of its executive committee. In 1961, he founded the Delray Oil Company in San Antonio.

Mr. Lattner founded the Forrest C. Lattner Foundation in 1982 and contributed to many groups across our country.

Mr. Lattner graduated from the University of Texas in 1924. He went to work for the Guaranty Trust Company in Manhattan and later became a managing partner of Lazard Freres & Company. 

A resident of Delray Beach, Florida, Mr. Lattner passed away in April 1989, at age 87.
